Musculus subscapularis

The only internal-rotator of the rotator cuff; lies on the anterior surface of the scapula.

- Internal rotation and stabilization of the shoulder.
- Origin
- Subscapular fossa of the scapula (its anterior surface).
- Insertion
- Lesser tubercle of the humerus (tuberculum minus).
